Publishing services from HomepageVentures
Available now
In addition to our Services For All Communities we also have the following services specifically targeted at the book and publishing community
Self Publishing services
HVL offers previously published and aspiring authors a range of highly competitive self publishing services. We provide these through our wholly owned imprint Imprimata Publishers. For a modest all inclusive fixed sum, we can convert any word processed manuscript into a completely designed and published book, available to order through any of the online bookshops on a print-on-demand basis. This service includes cover artwork and registration of an ISBN and Nielsen BookData record,. We also offer more extensive design, editorial and marketing services if required and we organise print on demand or short run printing for all types and size of book and finish.
All of our self published books can be made available in HVL's unique multi-format publishing formats and can be delivered with a personalised printed dedication page inserted by the purchaser.
Some examples of the range of books we have helped our authors to publish and sell include:
- Fiction & Non Fiction produced as standard black & white paperbacks
- Two full colour children's books in the growing Potager Rectory series, an autobiography From Wapping to Canary Wharf, and a healthy diet reference book, Good Food, Good Medicine, with a mix of colour and black & white pages
- Well known author, publisher and broadcaster Eileen Campbell has revised and re-issued in paperback her best-selling inspirational books, which have collectively sold over 250,000 copies in hardback

- The Woodwind Repair Manual, musical scores from London Chamber Orchestra and composer Alexander Rudd, and Kevin Norley's wonderful 'Making Britain Numerate' and 'Making Britain Literate' workbooks, are all produced in a larger format.

Authors can take advantage of the power of the web to showcase their work on a global basis. HVL has developed some author website templates that allow a rapid and highly cost effective deployment of a relatively sophisticated tailored site that can include the ability to read and listen to a chapter of the book, discuss the books with the author and other fans, read the author blog, keep up with author events., and, of course, buy the books. Examples of author sites developed are
Anthony Joyce, author of the exciting children's series about boy hero, Billy Bonkel.
Roland Wells & Teresa Fry, authors of the delightful illustrated series Tales from Potager Rectory.
White label bookshop within your website
You can now have a bookshop within your own site and sell everything or just the specific range of books that are relevant to your customers. HVL can implement a bookshop for you within a matter of weeks and help you to select the range of books that you wish to carry from what is possibly the widest selection available today (around 40,000 current titles carried by our fulfillment partner).
HV Classics
HVL has reproduced a library of around 400 of the world's classic texts, with genres devoted to fiction, non-fiction, children, crime, adventure, ancient literature, poetry and drama. These are available on a print on demand basis in our unique multi-format range of book and print sizes and finishes, including paperback, case bound and cloth bound. Many of our larger book sizes with large print have proven to be very popular with people whose eyesight is not as good as it once was. This series can be branded for any publisher, retailer or institution to have their own library.

Books with personal dedications and the Schools Dedication Library
As most of our books are printed 'on demand' we are able to offer the ability to add one or more pages to the book to personalise it. This could contain a personal message, a dedication, a commendation or anything else.
We have also created a Schools Dedication Library where we produce the HV Classics series with case bound covers personalised for individual schools, with their name and logo on the cover, and including a dedication page inside. An individual student (or parent) can buy a book of their choice for the school library and dedicate it with their name and date of attendancel, leaving a high quality legacy of their time at the school. Both the student and the school also receive an electronic copy of the book. This a simple way for any school to build up a unique reading resource at no cost to the school and at bery modest cost to the donor.
Virtual publishing company
HVL is happy to act as the engine behind any institution that wants to create its own publishing facility or list. Trade associations or professional or learning institutions can create their own published material either form their own resources (e.g Yearbooks, white papers, learned articles, research materials, etc) Or they can licence in materials form other sources: the HV Classics library, for instance, can be re-branded to any publisher and most HVL services can be 'white labelled' and sold through a partner's own branded site or store.
Publishing Industry Sponsorship & Advertising
There will be a wealth of sponsorship and advertising opportunities available to reach the book reader and publishing community once BookLoversHomepage launches later in 2008. In the meantime, there are some specific advertising and sponsorship opportunities in this market, particularly around the Schools Dedication Library, and sponsorship of exciting new technology enabled publishing offerings.
