About HomepageVentures ("HVL")

HomepageVentures' purpose is to help specialist interest groups access online all of the information, products and services available to them in both the on-line and physical worlds. In particular, its portal sites are designed to help people with more modest technology skills find and enjoy the best of what is available in their particular area of interest.

The first three HVL communities are:

      Aimed at professional and serious amateur musicians, those learning an instrument, or those who simply  love classical music

      Aimed at professional and serious amateur artists and art lovers generally (launching soon)

      Aimed at those who love books and literature, and anyone interested in self-publishing (launching soon)
    

We have many other ideas for additional sites which will be developed over time.

Serving the communities

Our core purpose is to provide members of our chosen communities with 'the complete resource online' ; with all key resources available to the members  'in just three clicks'. Each community is managed by subject matter experts from the community aided by tailored technology tools. We embrace and promote other sites that we believe provide value to our community members and actively encourage community feedback and recommendations.

Delivering exceptional value to the communities

We aim to provide exceptional value to our community members in everything we do. Our sites offer a free membership level that provides a valuable community resource. The low cost, optional, subscription services provide access to a whole range of premium content and services many of which, on their own, more than justify the subscription price.  We aim to source goods and services for our members at least as competitively as anywhere else on the web, passing on many of the benefits and discounts we arrange. We use technology, automation and globaly competitive resources where possible to reduce labour costs. We keep our  technology costs low by spreading them across all of our communities and our business partners in the communities and  by using open source technology wherever appropriate.
